The fine artisans at MIL have crafted this year’s Texas Renaissance Festival collectable tankard and pewter ware. To get a peak at them, go to the photo gallery section or click on the following link to take you to that page.

Which thread please?

I think he may have meant this:

I was addressing the cost of acquiring a complete collection based upon market values provided by MIL. Not sure if the price of the 2007 items has yet been revealed.

No, I really was inquiring as to which thread listed the cost of this years steins.

They didnt mention the cost of the 2007 series tankards he was telling me the cost for the collection. I just have to start a little slower than expected

I'm sorry, I mis-understood. It sounded to me like we were going to be able to find out how much this years steins were going to be.
Any chance of finding out, Chris?

Don't let that discourage you Ottheinrich. I couldn't afford a stein when I first attended TRF and they were only $13 at that time. :o Just acquire them whenever you can. I save a little each month so I am ready for all TRF expenses in the fall.

By all means sir. Start where ever you are. No such thing as small beginings. Haunt the garage sales, ebay, and even auction houses will have steins.

Thrift shops, especially those that benefit charities, are a great place to look. I have found several of the older ones there.

Any chance on seeing what the King's Feast Tankard will look like this year?

I'm not sure, but I think The Merchant Prince orders the King's Feast collectibles, so MIL personnel might not have access to that info.

Chris, could you clarify something for me? I thought that only the steins were treated by MIL as 'officially collectable'. Is that true?

The only official TRF collectibles will have the official TRF logo(s) and the words Texas Renaissance Festival.

This is not to say that there are not other collectibles associated with TRF.

The King's Feast tankards, in there own right, are collectible items. They are, however, produced by the Merchant Price and any collectible information would have to be provided by his company.

Discussions about the tankard will be allowed on this site, following standard community policies, so feel free to discuss and upload images.
