Another great day at TRF Saturday. Here's a few pics.

As we strolled around, we came across this lovely lady riding a HUGE horse.

http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd33/Nunoyafb/IMG_0022.jpg

As we listened to her tell about the breed of the horse and that it was the largest horse in all of the kingdom, the king himself came strolling by. She asked everyone to make way for the king and to step back so the horse could bow.

As we walked through the Magic Garden, we found this native American, playing his flute.

Yeah, I think I took these not long after we spoke with you. By the way, it was great to see you again and to meet more of your family. It was also nice to see Lana smile after that sad pic you posted of her earlier. It was cute how she waved at us with her bandaged finger.:)

I agree, that is one beautiful horse.

FYI the horse and rider are Sam and Kiva. If you would like to share your photos with them (Which they would love for you to do.) You can send them a link to your photos to this address: samandkiva@yahoo.com

Like the fireworks shots. Did you use a tripod?

Thanks! No, I didn't use a tripod. I was standing under one of the arches surrounding the arena and held my camera tightly up against the vine-covered bricks. Like Martin said in another post, many of them didn't turn out so well, but at least I got a few.

(I also actually had batteries that weren't dead this time:D)

Outstanding photos, Nuny! Sampson and Kiva look great, and that pic you got of him bowing is awesome.

The sand painting faerie's name is Inga. Have you heard her faerie voice? It's really cool.

Your fireworks shots are some of the best I've ever seen ... you positioned yourself perfectly and there is no noticeable camera shake. Very nicely done!

The sand painting faerie's name (I'll probably misspell it) is Ima. It's pronounced "ee ma" but I couldn't get her to spell it for me because she was having fun teasing me at the pub sing. Have you heard her faerie voice? It's really cool.

Thanks Martin. Yeah, I got to hear just a small sample of her voice when she said "Thank you!" after I dropped a dollar into her tip jar. Really cute! Sis got a few pics of her as well including a great shot of her looking up with a surprised look on her face.

As far as the fireworks shots go, I was holding my camera so tightly against the archway that I thought I might have scratched the case. (luckily the ivy covering the brick acted as a cushion):D

I found one more that I thought turned out pretty good.

Yes he is a Percheron. That breed is a bit smaller than the Belgians and Clydesdale but still impressive.

I've got a few shots from Roman Bacchanal weekdend and will try to have more in the next couple days. Not sure if I will get out to TRF for Highland Fling, so those of you who can make it please take some photos to share.

Here is our newest Dragonslayer, Philpot, with the beautiful and talented Dakota. I wasn't able to attend the pinning ceremony on Saturday, but enjoyed some time with Philpot on Sunday. He is a quite intelligent, witty and engaging gentleman.

Thanks Philpot. The glassblower demonstration is indeed a very cool thing to watch and every creation is unique. On a sidenote, the fellow at the Royal Mint said that it wouldn't hurt to contact management at TRF and let them know that it would be great to get the larger of the minting machines repaired. :)
