I love how you have added the count down clock and also added the favicon (just a note I love it because it stands out compared to my other ones)

I was thinking that alot of your faire goers do not live in the area and we have to travel (some are long distances) and it would be nice to have local current weather conditions or a link button. Just a thought

I will put that down as a suggestion. Not sure where I would want to put that but maybe on the TRFCAM pages, maybe?

On the camera's makes sense, but it could also go on the left hand side on the top menu.

Weatherforyou.com has a free real time weather tracker it comes in html format and you can stick it in the upper right hand of the main page. Just a suggestion :)

Here's the Weather Channel page for the TRF zip code, if that helps. It also includes the pollen details for allergy sufferers.

Any chance of getting the sound for the globe stage? Does not have to go with the CAM, just a channel to hear what is going on?

Hey, sound would be a fantastic idea, especially during opening season. Good thinking philpot.

Not sure what that would cost TRF but a little Tartanic live from the Faire would be great for those of us far far away . .

Always willing to chip in as needed !!

Any word on if sound might be available?

Near as I can find, danae posted that she would mention the idea of sound to those in charge. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else. There may be contractual or legal limitations to including sound where actual performances are concerned.

Generically, there will not be sound with the images for many reason. As Rapier Half-Wit stated correctly, there are issues from a legal standpoint and a performance standpoint.

I am not an expert on law, but here is my opinion on the matter:

Not being a performer, I will say that I would not want the audio to be streamed for free. The individual acts are the intellectual property of the performers and the performance company's acts are the intellectual property of TRF. As such, streaming both the video and the audio would be a loss of income for those performers.

From a legal point of view, we could not use the cameras for any legal proceeding if it includes voice. This would be considered a 3rd party audio recording that is against Federal law.

And lastly, most of the cameras do not have voice on them. The ones that do, at some point in the future they may be enabled for voice if they have been clearly identified as cameras that would never be used for legal proceedings.

Thanks guys, hey it was a good thought!!!

I know that one of the things that I enjoy at the faire is the sounds. I like to pick out a bench with a yard of Sangria and just sit and listen to the sounds. The "yes my lord or lady" one of the small musical groups playing. Even a little Tartanic or Cast in Bronze playing in the distance.

Ok I am drifting off..

Thanks for the CAMs !!!!! :D:):D

No, I agree, it was an excellent idea. However, our legal system, being as pervasive as it is, doesn't allow for freedom of enjoying oneself where other peoples intellectual property are concerned. Kind of sounds odd when you sit and read that. Some times I thing we border on enacting laws against "thought crime". But that's another forum.
