No one has posted here. So what is this place?

Unless I'm mistaken, it's one of the MIL shoppes at TRF. lol. I looked on the TRF web site and the link for The Pavilion doesn't work yet, so there's no telling what it is.

Chris, What's The Pavilion?

Come on RHW, I thought you had been to the festival.
The Pavilion is only the best coffee shop in the village--the very best cappuccino, fresh homemade gingerbread, homemade fudge, chocolate dipped strawberries. Don't even consider missing the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. Enjoy all the coffee and chocolate goodies from the shaded patio while the rest of the festival waits in line for theirs.
See you there!

Oooohhh yes! (where's my brain??) Yes, I've been in there. It's straight across from the gate. Yes, of course I've been in there. Very nice coffee indeed. My wife and I had a coffeee with you a couple of years back at the end of the day. Afterwards my wife commented what a lovely and charming woman you are, and I agree with her. :)

We've been in the Pavilion. My sweetie wanted something warm on a cool day, so she got some coffee or cocoa (I can't remember which) and said it really hit the spot.

They make an excellent capucino, Sir Martin. If you are a coffeee drinker you should give it a try.

I think I'll give the hot gingerbread a shot on one of the cooler days this fall. Warm stuff feels good in the tummy. :)

Speaking of warm, on The Pavilion's patio, they have a really nice heater that can warm you up nice and quick on those really cold days. Just make sure that you show your appreciation for their thoughtfulness by going inside and buying a coffee or a hot chocolate. That's the polite thing to do.

I dont drink coffee, but I have had the fudge and other sweets here. I have also given the espresso to my friend a few times to keep him balanced for the day from the alcohol. Great place I wish there were other items on the menu.

I must say excellent place indeed. A TRF must!!!

My wife and I stopped here for a cup of fine coffee as well as warm gingerbread on a cool morning of weekend 4. My compliments to the baker and everyone else involved in making the Pavilion my first stop at TRF.

Danielle, the Good Ottheinrich was referring to an '07 posting in response to Danae with regards to her comment on hot chocolate and hot apple cider. I think we all need a morning drink before we "pop the first top" at about 9:00 am or so. ;)

Then an idea for that would be a bailey's irish cream cordial in some hot chocolate. It's not enough to do too much impact, but it still is pretty good.

It's like an Irish coffee, without the coffee. Just a lot of chocalety goodness. Top that off with a cookie, or a piece of fudge, and that's what we like to call a Renaissance Red Bull :D. That much sugar will keep you going for a while.

It can go along with the weekend of "1001 Dreams". If you have multi-colored sugar sprinkles you can advertise using faery dust on your goodies. Actually, that might work for every weekend at TRF. :)

Speaking of faeries, I guess my faerie lore is off, but I don't recall anywhere that a rat with little wings on it was a baby faerie. Did I miss that memo? Or are we just admitting out loud what we all thought, which is faeries are vermon to be squished. :)

Do you guys have jobs ????

It started off with a harmless 1001 dreams with cookies and sprinkles,

Then to are they made from or out of Faerie's,

Plucking off a wing and watching them fly in circles, to crushing them ( in their tights)

Then we brought the NSNELL factor in, to the Queen's men

Can we just go back to the cookies and sprinkles?

I would say yes, we can. Do I have a job? yes, but I work in computers so I have this up alot during the day. And one bit of news, I can say that none of the cookies will have sprinkles. None of them call for sprinkles. It is interesting to see how this particular piece of the thread developed though. :)

I merely jest Sir Martin. I know there are faeries everywhere. I normally don't pay them any mind. I used to know one of the court, I don't think she's there anymore. This was back from 1999 or 2000. Her and I would get into long discussions about this and that on faeries.

Yeah, I know! Good thing I am multifunctional. I was on my conference call with China, surfing DQ and Ebay, talking to Nuny on Messenger, watching TV on mute, drinking a Newcastle, and snacking on a steak. This is afterhours, mind you. My work is never finished.

Fest weekends are hell trying to disconnect myself from electronics.

I know how that can be. It's a bad withdrawal. Thankfully I can ease it by having my electronics back on Monday.

You are one talented gent! One of the many aspects of TRF that I love is that I don't have to mess with any electronics (OK, except a camera) after I walk through the gates.

This is the perfect spot to quote the song:

When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you

If your heart is in your dreams, no request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star as dreamers do

(Fate is kind, she brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing)

Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you thru
When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true

Hey guys, sorry I have been away for a bit. Work has been a slow torment this week. It's at that point where there is so little to do you want to slap someone. But if I do that, I will get fired. Don't mind Nancy the Short, she's short, and small, and can't ride most rides at amusement parks. :) Oh yeah, and she's my mother.

Anyway, the original idea from back in 1999 was to build a catapult and place it atop NobleHouse. Then bring faeries to the top set them in and catapult them to the other side of festival. Whoever gets the faery the farthest wins.

Then at night we would use the same catapult to fire really obnoxious and offensive drunks at the fireworks. We figure the amount of alcohol in them would cause a nice enough pop that it would add more flare to the fireworks.

And now you know........

OK, no problems with that. I'm not all that big into faeries. And remember this was an idea that came about 10 years ago. I moved on from that to trying to find a way to get an animatronic dragon to fly around festival without the cables being visible. I figure kids would get a blast out of that.

Wow ... I think most everyone would enjoy the heck out of something like that! Unfortunately, even Disney couldn't pull it off. :( You can easily see the cable that Tinkerbell uses to "fly" out of Cinderella's castle at the end of the day. OK, you can't really see it at night when she does the "flying" because it happens shortly after the fireworks after sunset. Hey ... waitaminute ... ;)
